Testimonials

“I am living proof that you have no better choice than Bob for GMAT preparation: he brought my score to a 690 from 550 a couple of months ago. As an English major with no college math coursework, I was extremely unprepared for the quantitative portion of the test which b-schools care so much about. Even the big-name test course I paid thousands for only brought my overall score to a 610 in practice tests. With Bob's help, my total Official GMAT score is a 690, with my quantitative score surpassing my verbal (Quantitative score about 740)! The GMAT is a deciding factor in your entrance to the best schools. Invest your time and money wisely - hire Bob. “

“Bob has proven methods that took me back to basics to build foundations that now helps me solve simple to complex GMAT Word Problems in Number System, Basic Algebra & Geometry, Coordinate Geometry, Statistics, Sequences & Series, Permutations & Combinations, Venn Problems & Counting Methods, Probability, Ration & Proportion, Percents, Profits & Losses, Discounts & Taxes, Exponential Growth rates, Simple & Compound Interests, Distance & Rate, Work & Time, Simultaneous and Quadratic Equations. I took Power Score Prep course but my GMAT score was still at 540. After taking Bob's tutoring for about 20 sessions I made a 660 in the Official GMAT test. Bob is knowledgeable, thorough, understanding and patient. Further, Bob has tons of energy that he utilizes to motivate his students. He teaches easy methods, short cuts, tricks and time saving techniques to solve intricate problems. For those who are looking for a perfect Quantitative Score on GMAT, I highly recommend him for tutoring. He is really awesome. "

“Six weeks ago, I took the Official GMAT Test and I scored a 540. To improve my quantitative scores, I sought the help of Bob. For about a month, he tutored me on how to tackle advanced GMAT topics. Further, he showed me how to successfully complete each problem within a given one and half minutes (the ideal time one should spend on each question in order to complete the section). He quickly went through most of the important GMAT topics along with me and routinely emailed me problems ranging from an elementary level all the way to the most difficult level for homework. Additionally, Bob was very accessible in meeting at times that accommodated my schedule. His effective tutoring methods helped me improve my GMAT score in a very short time. For each GMAT Math topic, he laid down the basics in an easy-to-understand format. His organized materials really helped me to learn concepts much more quickly than I would have through a conventional GMAT class. He also has a unique technique to tackle the Data Sufficiency Problems, some of the more challenging problems on the GMAT Math section. Though he advised me to wait for another month to shoot for a 700 score, I went ahead and took the GMAT Test again just a couple of days ago so I could meet my MBA application deadlines. I scored a 40 in Quantitative and a 38 in Verbal, which generated an official GMAT score of 640. I was amazed and delighted to have improved my score by 100 points in such a short period of time with the help of Bob. If I decide to reapply to other MBA programs, I will definitely work with Bob again in my preparation to get above a 700 on the GMAT "

“Bob is an outstanding teacher. I am happy I met Bob. Before taking Bob’s help, I took SMU prep and Princeton Review courses. Still my score was at 490. Then I took the tutoring help from Bob for about 20 hours. My Official GMAT Score rose to 630. Now, I am further preparing and aiming to get a 700 score taking further Bob’s tutoring help. I am confident that I will get that score with Bob’s help. Bob sat with me one on one basis and explained thoroughly the concepts of various problems that come in GMAT. He believes in hard work and not guess work. He does not believe in techniques and gimmicks. Of course, he taught me short cuts and tips but only after I learnt each math concepts thoroughly. I really understood and began to enjoy solving problems. I highly recommend Bob tutoring for those who want to improve their quantitative score in a short time. "

- Erika Desouza

“With one month tutoring with Bob, my score GMAT MATH SCORE increased by 110 points. He has identified my weak areas pretty quickly and has strived to help me strengthen those areas that need improvement. Bob is your one stop shop for GMAT solutions. He not only knows the math but he knows the test. After spending time with Bob you will walk into your test with confidence, you'll know exactly what to expect and how to conquer each and every hurdle the test makers throw your way. No need to waste your money on expensive courses like everyone else, get a leg up on the competition and contact Bob.

"Bob is a great tutor. He knows so much about math that he can navigate through every topic, explaining every aspect and detail in order. What makes his tutoring even better is that he remembers your weaknesses from session to session and make sure that you understand everything thoroughly before moving on. Bob is a great encourager. His enthusiasm for math is contagious. Bob makes sure you view taking your test as positively as possible. Before taking help from Bob, I have tried Princeton Review and Kaplan but my score did not improve enough to get into the university of my choice. Actually, I was skeptical about increasing the score. However, with the help of Bob, I got the score I needed to get admitted to the University I was interested in. Thanks to Bob. If you want a professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and dedicated tutor, Bob is a great choice. "

- Dana Hollingsworth

“I was referred to Bob by a previous student and friend that studied with Bob after an initially unsuccessful GMAT score. Bob ended up helping my friend improve his score by over 100 points which subsequently helped him get into the school of his choice. I have had the privilege of working with Bob for the past few months and have found him to be an excellent tutor. His knowledge of the material and teaching techniques are evident in each tutoring session. I have not taken the GMAT yet, but I am confident Bob has prepared me with the essential skills for optimizing my score."

- Christian Nilsson

““I needed good score in GRE in order for me to get into Ph. D program in Psychology. Admission was promised but contingent upon a decent score in GRE. I already completed Masters Degree. Yet, I did not have any math background. I never took math courses in college. In my school years whatever I learnt in math I could not even recall. He understood my situation and went through each concept in a logical manner so that I could understand them and apply them. His patience was remarkable and he never gets frustrated. He never hesitated to repeat over again the complex problems that I could not comprehend. Bob’s techniques were a lot more understandable than the course I took with Princeton Review. I made a wise decision in taking Bob’s tutoring help. I am always grateful to him. By the way, I have achieved my goal, getting into Ph.D program.”

- Mary Dunnaway

“I heard about Bob from a Jeff Noland, a Wharton Business School Graduate. He recommended Bob and spoke highly about Bob’s tutoring help with the GMAT Quantitative section. Bob tutored me for over a month and helped me improve in the areas of problem solving and data sufficiency. His tutoring was real helpful. Prior to seeing Bob I scored a 640 on the GMAT. Now, I am aiming to score in the range of 720 to 760. Unfortunately, I had to temporarily stop my studying for the GMAT because of my personal situation, but I plan on returning to Bob to seek his expert tutoring to fulfill my dream of getting accepted into an Ivy League Business School."

- Jason J.

“Bob has tutored me starting from basic mathematical concepts to all the way to advanced GMAT topics like Number theory, Permutations and Combinations, Probability, Inequalities, Absolute Values, Complex Mixtures and Statistics. For each concept he has given me an overview and as to how to solve quickly and in an organized way. His lectures are structured and methodical. He has understood and analyzed my weak areas and has showed me as to how to effectively work on them. Besides math, he has given me exam strategies as to how to take the GMAT test. He has instilled confidence in me and motivated me to solve problems while enjoying the math. He believes and advocates that we should relax as we do problems. I have experienced the fact, the more I have relaxed the more I have stretched the one and half minute time for each question. Bob totally a dedicated teacher and truly believes and strives for the success of his students. I recommend Bob for those who aspire for high scores. He is a GMAT Guru. "

- Melianna Kelikimakakenda

“Hi Bob, My name is Tara Stevenson and I'm a current student of Bob's. I'm studying to take the GMAT. He has been such a blessing to me! I found him on the internet and took a chance that he was what I was looking for. And he turned out to be exactly what I needed to get me back in the academic mind-set and ready to attend Grad School. Bob is very flexible, and is always working with my busy schedule. This is really important to busy person like me. I'd recommend him for anyone wanting a head's up on the GMAT. Bob is an excellent teacher. Thanks, Tara "

“I enthusiastically recommend Bob's services.  I worked with Bob to improve my quantitative score on the GRE. Although math has never been a very compelling subject for me, his enthusiasm for teaching and passion for the subject matter inspired me to reach my full potential. Furthermore, his positive attitude and encouragement were contagious! I found myself looking at math in a new way; this aroused my curiosity about the problems and helped increase my motivation to do well. Finally, he helped put me at greater ease about the test, which was a key factor for me, since I usually have some anxiety when it comes to tests. Although I won't miss taking the experience of taking the GRE, I will actually miss my tutoring sessions with Bob. I may call on him again should I need help with Statistics next year! "

- Mark Elliott

“I was debating whether to take GMAT or GRE. Anyway, not sure which direction I was going to go, I took the help of Bob to improve my quantitative skills. I started out skeptical, but by the time I took the Test he made a believer out of me. Though I could not get the score I wanted, I was very happy that I learnt a lot of math skills from Bob. I still intend to take his help to improve my quantitative scores both in GMAT and GRE as I have not decided which way to go. As for Bob’s tutoring, I am convinced that he is the right instructor for me."

- Laura

““Bob brought me along starting with basic algebra, which I had almost forgotten, and in three months I was doing all word problems using linear algebra methods. I could not have gone through the GMAT by myself. In fact, he's the best math teacher I ever had, better than anyone I came across either in my high school or college. Highly recommended. You can't go wrong. I don't have much to say, except that he was as patient as could be. He is truly very good at what he does.”

- Daniel Calvo

“I was referred to Bob by my colleague at work Laura who took tutoring from Bob in the past. My goal was to get into a prestigious Graduate School for the MBA program. I have a stable job in Dallas. I made up my mind to do my MBA at SMU. Bob tutored me for over three months. I attended his tutoring sessions twice a week and 2 hours per each session. We went over all the math topics. He quickly recognized my weak areas in math and we both started working on those to improve my math understanding. He encouraged me and motivated me and made math so simple. Bob helped me overcome my fear for math. Then, I began to enjoy solving math problems. We went over topic by topic and he made sure that I understood each concept. On some topics like Inequalities, complex algebraic expressions, divisibility, permutations & Combinations and Probability we spent longer time to master. I never could know that math was so joyful until I came across Bob’s tutoring help. Few days before taking the test, Bob started instructing me as to how to use short cuts like Back solving, Plugging in techniques, besides as to how to read word problems and do math without calculator. He showed me as to how to save time and when to skip a problem and the cutoff point etc. Eventually, I got the score I wanted and I got admitted into SMU. Bob is a great tutor. His friendly, flexible, patient and professional attitude augments his tutoring techniques in helping his students improve their skills and scores drastically in a short time. I recommend Bob for those who are serious about pursuing Graduate studies in Business." "

- Sheela Lakhani

““I took the GMAT yesterday. Got a good score, more than I expected. Raised my score by 30 pts. Bob’s tutoring was very helpful. I attended only a few sessions and I just could not afford to continue. GMAT is $250 per attempt. Had I continued tutoring for couple more weeks, I would have scored much higher. Of course, I definitely benefited from Bob’s tutoring help. His techniques in computing arithmetic not using calculator is amazing. I have studied his notes and other short cuts to problems that helped me a lot in the exam. For those who can afford, Bob tutoring is worth the money. Do not forget to ask for his notes and sample problems.”

““Thanks for Bob for helping my husband and myself in preparing for GRE. Bob helped my husband to get a high score in GRE which got my husband into Ph. D Program with a scholarship. Now, we are happy and we live in Houston as we both got situated because of the encouragement, motivation and math help from Bob. My husband has encouraged me to seek tutorial help from Bob in order for me to get into Graduate Program. Of course, I took Bob’s help. I had to travel to Dallas from Houston and stay in a Hotel for two days every week to just get help from Bob. It was worth my effort. Bob quickly identified my week areas and we worked on improving those areas. He has all the materials for Preparatory exams and I did not need to buy any books. All I needed was scratch papers and a pen. He emailed me homework problems and he gave me list formulas to memorize. He made sure that I understood each concept thoroughly. He also made me prepare flash cards and go over them on daily basis. Further, he has well developed computer aided tests that simulated the actual test. Finally, he instilled a lot of confidence in me and helped me overcome my exam fears and anxieties. He demonstrated to me as to how to stretch time during the test. Of course, his timing saving techniques are excellent and undoubtedly useful. Utilizing all his techniques and help, I made a good score in GRE Test which I could not have imagined without tutoring help of from Bob. Now my husband is doing Ph. D at Rice University and I am in the process of applying for Graduate Schools. Needless to say that my husband and myself recommend Bob for any aspiring student who wishes to pursue Graduate Studies. “Hello Bob, I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and appreciation for all you have done for Gabriel, and to offer an endorsement and recommendation to others who might be considering whether to employ your services. As you know, he had been incorrectly placed on a remedial math track for a couple of years, although he actually had some talent in math. In December of last year I met with his school counselor and asked when he would be taking calculus, since he had decided he wanted to become a scientist. She checked his records and told me that, based on his placement, the answer was simply: "never!" He still had to finish geometry, learn algebra, trigonometry, and pre-calculus, and there were not enough semesters left before he would graduate. Fortunately she is good at her job, and worked with me to create a plan to get him back on track. The first part of the plan was to enroll him in a distance learning class in College Algebra, which we did through Texas Tech. The second was to acquire a tutor, and that's when we were extremely lucky to find you. For anyone who is reading this who might be thinking about using your services, I want to state the facts quite plainly. At the very beginning you explained that your goal was to prepare him so thoroughly that MIT would be forced to admit him, that you wanted him to do algebra like it was addition. You worked with him twice a week from February through June, with only a couple of missed weeks. In that time he completed the College Algebra class with a high "A" average, and aced the final exam. Because of that his high school approved him to start Calculus First Year this September. If that were all you had accomplished with my son, I would certainly have considered this to be one of the best investments I had ever made. But much to my surprise there was more to come. After he finished the Algebra course he had a couple of weeks before Boy Scout camp in June. He was worried about going into calculus in September, so he decided to read a little bit ahead. He picked up one of the textbooks on pre-calculus, and started reading trigonometry. Since the foundation you had given to him was so strong, he was able to understand it right away, and started doing the problems. He finished the pre-calculus trig unit before camp, and then left for 10 days. When he came back he thought that he should read a little calculus, so as to be better prepared for the Fall. He picked up a calculus textbook and started working through it in the same way you taught him Algebra. Soon he became fascinated, and started reading and working calculus problems all day. I mean ALL DAY!!! As in 10, 12, even 14 hours a day! In four weeks he had worked through two high school calculus textbooks and a college-level engineering math text that included some other topics also. During this entire time you kept working with him on the fundamentals and encouraging his further explorations. After the first day of calculus class in September his math teacher took him aside and examined his understanding thoroughly, even having him explain his thought processes while solving some calculus problems. The very next day his math teacher announced to the school administrators that he was placing Gabe in second year Calculus -- that he would bypass first year completely! When the administrators objected, he simply stated that it would be a complete waste of time for Gabe to take first year Calculus, because he knew it as thoroughly as he knew basic arithmetic, and that in fact Gabe already knew most of second year already. What could they do but go along? Since then Gabe has excelled in the class, to the point where his teacher has put him on the school's math team. With your help Gabe is now going further on, into advanced calculus and higher-level math. Clearly his dream of becoming a scientist is much, much closer than we ever thought possible last winter. Without you I am sure this would not have happened. In this letter I've concentrated almost entirely on the results you've achieved with my son. But I wouldn't be doing you justice is I didn't also talk about your personal characteristics that have made such a difference. You are patient, helpful and unfailingly encouraging. You are blessed with a winning personality that makes your students want to earn your respect -- I've observed that with several other of your students besides Gabe. You are extremely honest and truly very gifted as a teacher. Without your dedication to his best interests his talent in math might never have surfaced. I and my wife are very grateful, more than we can express. Whatever good you have done in your business life prior to now, and I'm sure it must have been considerable, is far overshadowed by the changes you are enabling in your students' lives right now. For some of them, like my son, a whole new world has opened up, filled with undreamt-of possibility. For anyone who happens to read this, I will only say that, if anything, I have understated the astonishing progress that my son has made under Bob's instruction. I will be more than happy to speak individually with anyone who wants verify the endorsement I've made here. Typically I would never offer to do such a thing, but Bob has done such an extraordinary job with Gabe that I must. "

- Ned Earle

“First of all I would like to say, Bob is a an EXCELLENT TEACHER!!! I would, FOR SURE!, recommend him to others. Bob helped me learn everything about chemistry and not just certain topics but the whole concept. He is very respectful, kind, and patient and will make sure you understand what is going on before moving on to the next subject. He took a great deal of time to do notes and go over certain areas in chemistry that I had trouble with. He gives over 150% into helping his students succeed and making sure that he can meet them at their time and preference. Not only has he helped me with chemistry but he has also helped me with my mathematics and other courses. When tutoring with Bob I enjoy what I learn and acquire a great deal of knowledge. I travel a good distance almost 3-4 times a week to meet with Bob but it is totally WORTH IT!!! I plan to still tutor with Bob for my other upcoming classes as a undergraduate for the next four years!!!!

- Stephanie Michelle Harris

““I was tutored by Bob for a few weeks before I got a job in Oklahoma. I had to discontinue GMAT prep as I just got a new job which requires a lot of time. Bob is knowledgeable, flexible and understanding. Bob has taught me well and someday when I am ready for GMAT, I will seek his tutoring help.”

- Chris

“Bob has been tutoring me for GMAT for the last three months. I really need help in understanding basic concepts of mathematics, as I have forgotten those rudimentary principles in Mathematics. During my high school and college studies, I have overlooked the importance of mathematics because as I have felt math has always been a boring subject. Further, I used to feel a lot of pressure in tackling problems, especially in a limited time. Math has been intimidating subject to me. However, Bob has helped me to over my anxiety. He has taught me as to how to relax and resolve problems. Bob has made math sweet and simple. He not only teaches math from basic to complex concepts necessary for GMAT Test. A number of times, I have lost track of time many times during Bob’s tutoring sessions. He makes math interesting and absorbing."

“I know Bob for about two years. Bob helped me in my college algebra, calculus and statistics. I made A’s in all the courses that I took help from him. He not only helped me to complete my home work on time but also made sure that I understood each model of problem in my class work. He guided me in my project work in which I made an A. I am really thankful to him for his timely help. He has always been there to help me whether weekend or late evening or early morning. He was kind enough to adjust his schedule even at the last minute because of my erratic time changes at my work. I am still in college and I am going to seek his help in the future too."

- Khalid Albasha

“After a long time away from math, I spent a couple of years trying to learn it on my own, but was not very successful. Then I found Bob, and since then I've made real progress. I was worried because I'd forgotten so much, but he was very patient. He takes the time to make sure I understand each concept, checking to be sure, and can explain the concepts in multiple ways. He sets problems for me to solve and watches carefully to be sure I'm getting the meaning. He has a genuine love for the subject, and has been able to transmit some of the wonder of this remarkable subject. I should mention his unfailing courtesy and pleasant manner; his concern and care for others always shows. It's truly a privilege to be learning from him.
